Representation of a social group within my magazine

My character of my magazine (Erica Emm) is a white female singer/song writer. She is 20 and from London. Being brought in a social and friendly part of London very much reflects on her personality. She was not brought up in a particularly rough part of London and was fortunate to have parents with an adequate income. She is confident yet not in your face and she appears to have an interest in a sort of laid back, stylish sense of fashion. I feel that as an artist Erica very much reaches out to my desired target audience. The type of people that will be reading the magazine will be similar to her and perhaps will see her as a role model. The target audience I wish to reach out to are likely to have similar interests and taste to Erica. For example a passion for music and certain sort of fashion. As Erica is of a similar age to my target audience it is likely they will be participating in similar activities. Overall I think the type of audience I will be appealing to will be the social kind who's interests mainly involve music and and an element of fashion. Therefore Erica is a good choice of artist to feature in my magazine, she can be related to, looked up to and understood in the eyes of my teen audience.
